The Roundtable of Stakeholders on CAP Reform has reached its third edition. OPERA Research Centre would like to thank to all the participants in our previous editions for their substantial and meaningful contribution.The issue this time is "Public goods and sustainable use of resources” and Wim Haentjens representing the Belgian Presidency of the European Union set the scene for our debate on the possible avenues to be explored by the CAP after 2013. He also update us on the Council activities planned for the second part of this year regarding the CAP reform. Also, the EU 2020 strategy proposes that one of the priorities of should be “building a bio-economy by 2020”. Since the concept of bio-economy is rather new in the agricultural policy arena, Mr. Timothy Hall, Head of Unit for Agriculture in DG Research unveil the concept and explain its links with the future CAP.
