OpenTea

04 January 2015

OpenTEA (Open Training and Education Association) is a web-platform that aims to build and promote pragmatic and scientifically sound e-learning and e-training courses  about sustainability in the agro-food sector.
OpenTEA was built in 2013 as one of the main outputs of the European founded project BROWSE and was developed through the collaboration of all the partners of the consortium as well as the involvement of stakeholders along all the entire process. However, its development was co-financed by the OPERA research center that acts as owner of the web-platform taking completly care of its management since the end of the BROWSE project (from January 2014). For this reason, OPERA remains the solely legal responsible ensuring that all the actions made for the development of OpenTEA with the involvement of third parties will be in line with the existing legislation.

OpenTEA was scientifically evaluated by the University of Newcastle involving a selected group of stakeholders and likely users. Feedbacks of this evaluation have been used for the implementation of final adjustments that have been finalised in September 2014. For more information about OpenTEA, the stakeholder involvement and the scientific evaluation please visit the openTEA platform  or contact gabriele.sacchettini@unicatt.it
