Since the beginning the Common Agricultural Policy has responded in due time to the challenges dictated by the broader context influencing the agricultural activity. Once more, the policy needs to be discussed due to the changes in European and international context.

The OPERA Research Centre, through its Brussels office, is organising on the 23 of April 2010, the first Roundtable of Stakeholders on the Reform of the CAP out of a series of events dedicated to the debate on the possible policy solutions for the numerous problems faced by CAP. The first edition will deal with “How can the new CAP ensure competitiveness of the European farming”.

The objective of the event is to create a platform for the stakeholders at European level to exchange, in an informal environment, opinions and presentation of possible solutions for the reform of the CAP.
