OpenTEA is a start-up company providing scientific communication and dissemination services in the agri-food and environmental sector. The business idea has arisen by a group of young researchers of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore based on a former academic research on these topics and after winning the first prize of a start-up idea competition. In particular, OpenTEA is specialised in the organisation and moderation of scientific events (including citizen-science approaches), production of informational and promotional materials (especially in audio-video format), development of interactive e-learning tools (focusing on e-learning courses and webinars).

Aeiforia srl is an university spin off that supports chemistry companies during the registration process, marketing, usage and control of agrochemicals.
Thanks to the results from the research in the agro-chemical sector, Aeiforia conducts environmental fate studies of agrochemicals in each compartment (groundwater, freshwater, soil, atmosphere) and human exposure to active substances and/or their metabolites, thus determining the conditions of safe use of these products.
The business idea came up in 2009, in the Agricultural Faculty of the “Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” of Piacenza from a team of researches and entrepreneurs with a long research experience and a solid network both at national and international level.
Aeiforia helps to ensure regulatory compliance in terms of usage and control of the agrochemical products. In this way, our company ensures that the agrochemicals used have no harmful effect on human and animal health, and on the environment.

Vinrà! is dedicated to raising awareness and providing clear information on sustainability within the wine sector. The initiative supports certified wineries committed to measurable sustainability practices, offering transparency on certification such as VIVA, SOStain, Equalitas and SQNPI. Originating in January 2021 through a collaboration led by Desam Ingegneria, the TESAF Department of the University of Padua, and other partners, Vinrà! hosts a dedicated portal to showcase Italian sustainable wine producers.
Vinrà! is part of a broader network combining academic research and professional expertise to deliver innovative solutions in environmental protection, sustainable agriculture, and certification systems.

PiaceCiboSano is a no-profit association that aims at spreading the culture of sustainable food production and consumption through activities of education and dissemination. It is founded by the strategic vision of the Province of Piacenza and coordinated in partnership with the Research Centre for Sustainable Development OPERA- Università Cattolica Sacro Cuore of Piacenza. The focus of the association is to promote a sustainable development in the agri-food chain. PiaceCiboSano has created a network through all the local stakeholders working on the chain. Today more than 35 stakeholders collaborate in the network: farms, industry, SME, retail, unions, academia, Institutions, trade associations and association of consumers.
