Calliera Maura et al – A key perspective article in the Journal of Xenobiotics titled “Advancing the One Health Framework in EU Plant Protection Product Regulation: Challenges and Opportunities”  has been published. The paper critically examines regulatory complexities, hazard identification, exposure assessment, and risk communication in plant protection products (PPPs), highlighting opportunities and gaps in risk evaluation and public trust. It advocates for interdisciplinary collaboration to align EU policies with One Health principles for sustainable agriculture.

This article stems from the working group led by Prof. Ettore Capri within the ONE HEALTH project—”Verso una salute globale: impatto della conoscenza scientifica in credenze e culture collettive”—a University research initiative coordinated by Prof. Andrea Urbani Faculty of Medicine and Surgery Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome.
