OPERA has been invited to participate to the<strong> Meeting on the Science of sustainability (SSI 2011)</strong> organised by the CIRPS (the research centre of the Università Sapienza of Rome) from the 20 to the 23 February 2011 in Valmontone (Italy).

The objective of the meeting was to develop the concept of sustainability as a new science comparing the different paths that could be followed to address the challenge of sustainability.

Gabriele Sacchettini, member of the OPERA staff gave a presentation titled “the challenge of the sustainability starts form the sustainable use of pesticide” bringing the experiences of OPERA into the debate.
