Monitoring for a sustainable management of marine resources

The Workshop “MONITORING FOR A SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF MARINE RESOURCES” will take place on 13th April 2016 at Palazzo Tassoni Estense,an historical building located inside the old city walls of Ferrara (Italy), UNESCO heritage since 1995.

The workshop is organized by Aeiforia Srl, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Istituto Delta Ecologia Applicata and Spanish Council of Scientific Research, in the frame of the European project SEA-on-a-CHIP.

The main aim of the workshop is to promote constructive multidisciplinary interactions among scientists and main stakeholders (including other projects selected for European funding under the call OCEAN 2013.1). This event will be focused on analytical methods for the determination of seawater pollutants, biosensors for environmental applications, aquaculture and water quality management.

The day programme will start at 9:30 and will be structured into four sessions:

  1. Marine biosensors
  2. Microelectronics in biosensing applications
  3. Seawater pollution I
  4. Seawater pollution II
